Willard South students and staff enjoyed the warm spring like weather this week. It was great to actually get outside and feel the warm sun! On Tuesday we had a great time celebrating our 100 day fight free party. Students enjoyed popcorn, drinks and music. Today we celebrated the Chinese New Year with a parade thanks to our fourth grade students and Mrs. Kynion, our art teacher. Chinese New Year is celebrated for 15 days from Feb. 18th-March 4th. Gung Hey Fat Choy! (Happy New Year in Chinese)

CONGRATULATIONS WILLARD SOUTH STUDENTS!! We have 375 students who remained fight free for the first 100 days of school. In order to celebrate our success, we will have a school wide party on Tuesday, February 20th. It is a great to know that Willard South students are respectful and take pride in following the rules. Have a wonderful weekend! “Willard South is ROARING with excitement!”

I believe that students and staff are readjusting to a full week of school here at Willard South! It is great to be getting back to a regular schedule. Last night was the Willard South basketball night at WHS. We had a great time watching the girl’s play Branson. I discovered some very talented WS students and staff members during half time! Our very own fourth grader Mallory Kurts won $50 at the half time shoot out. WOW! We also had our honor choir sing the national anthem along with teachers Becky Moore, Lori Ferguson & our very own Willard
South “IDOL” Rachel Reynolds. What amazing voices! Today we celebrated second quarter with our Tiger Pride Assembly. Congratulations to everyone who received an award this month. GREAT WORK! Have a great weekend and try to stay warm!
